If Annamalai amicably exists, and forges a new party, then it seems, we are entering into a SPIRAL formation, wherein, where used to be only the dominance of two parties i.e. DMK & AIADMK in T.N., would now >quadruple into 2-3 more, within days to come. And as TVK shifted the DMK votes towards it in the last election; Annamalai may shift AIADMK voters towards his prospective venture. This would lead to another battle, and which is, it may be then possible that with the help of Rajni, both DMK-AIADMK may come together to forge an alliance to mitigate the above future threats. But here’s a catch. If this happens, then, this may give More Ammo to both Vijay & Annamalai, because, now people would see TVK & Annamalai as future options, rather DMK & AIADMK. Why? Because in such scenario, Vijay has already pledged to mass resign, which would give more support to Vijay, and also the entry to Annamalai with a Huge chunk of Vote Bank.
With Vijay’s win, T.N. has already entered in another trajectory. And with the Annamalai’s entry, this would be different politics that you wouldn’t have seen in the last several decades in T.N..
But Kamal’s party could’ve changed this dynamics, had he NOT aligned with the DMK openly. That’s why, now people may see him as an extension of DMK only, that’s why it wouldn’t make any difference in case he enters’ to counter Vijay or Annamalai, as he has already exhausted his options. And if in case Annamalai doesn’t enter, then I presume, there would be someone else awaiting for this opportunity, as, the Pandora box has already been opened.
Just alike Vijay; Annamalai also knows the ground reality. He understands the politics of T.N. because they both have worked on the ground level, rather working on Social Media. Now, you would ask me, then how come Vijay somehow entered from his Media influence? Then my answer to that question is -> your assumption is only WRONG! Because, South Indian Politics is governed by the Movie Actors, Actresses, Producers, and, Directors for several decades. Thus, whether Vijay or Kamal, they had laid their political foundation. The only difference was, as Kamal already aligned with an existing Political Party i.e. DMK, whilst others were looking forward to the alternate option (minus any national party), that gave Electoral Ammo to TVK. The same thing would happen to Annamalai, if he forges a new party, as there would be then TWO THALAs’ fighting in the next election viz. -> VIJAY vs ANNAMALAI.
